Honors Program

Honors Program participants are among the most talented, dedicated, and diverse students at UE. Students with a GPA of 3.5 or above and an ACT of 29+ or SAT of 1360+ or a cumulative college GPA of 3.5 or above for transfer students, are more likely to gain admission. However all students are welcome to apply. A writing sample is required before admission into the program is finalized. Learn more about the Honors Program.

Physical therapy direct entry applicants: In order to be eligible for the Physical Therapy Direct Entry Program, applicants will need to complete their UE application no later than January 15, meet certain academic criteria, and respond to one of the following essays listed below. Selected students will be invited to interview for a Direct Entry position.

If you have observed in a physical therapy setting, you must choose one of the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) core values and write an essay that describes how you observed a physical therapist demonstrate this value. Use the APTA’s description of the core value for your essay completion.
If you have not observed in a physical therapy setting, describe in detail what you have done to explore the role of the physical therapist. Also, beyond a "desire to help people", why do you want to be a physical therapist?

Selected students will be invited to interview for a Direct Entry position.

If you have observed in an Athletic Training setting, you must choose one of the domains from the National Athletic Trainers' Association and write an essay that describes which domain do you think is the most important in an Athletic Trainer's daily work schedule. Use the NATA’s description of the domain for your essay completion.
